Other Constructs

Just a quick review: a construct is a form made out of psi. It can be made for a certain use, or just to look pretty. : ) A psi ball is a very basic construct, a shield is a little more complex. But if you know what you’re doing, ( which, to be technical, none of us really do ) your constructs can be as complicated as you need them to be. It just depends on how much energy you’ve got and your skill at programming it. However, it’s often easier to replace one huge, confusing construct with a few simple ones. It’ll probably take less energy and less concentration.

Building your construct is fairly simple. I’ve found it easier to build large constructs a piece at a time – make a part, shell it and set it to the side, make another, etc. Then I just stick them together to finish. If you can concentrate on several things at once, you can try to make all the parts together, but it’s tricky. You tend to loose pieces along the way.

So, some ideas for constructs:

empathy charged psi balls – If you have even basic empathy skills, try charging a psi ball or other simple construct with a particular emotion. You could send a positive feeling to a friend who’s been feeling down, and it should stick to him/her until it dissolves. Of course, you can also telepathically ping them with some ‘happy thoughts’, so do whatever is easier.

paintball ( psi ball ) gun- This was suggested at psipog.net and I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds fun. Build two psi ball guns and have an epic ( albeit invisible ) battle. You can even use shield fragments for protection. Just a word of advice – do it where no one can see you. You could get some pretty weird looks.

These are just a few suggestions, and I’ll add more if I come across any good ones. If you’ve got a cool construct idea, just comment below this article.
